Very effective in conveying the chaos of the Maremoto. It reminds me of a woodcut I came across of the 1858 Potenza earthquake. I noticed that the version of your artwork published in the New York Times was cropped, lessening the impact of the swirling waters. It was your illustration which caught my eye and directed my attention to the story.
